2022 Accord Power & Efficiency

2021 Red Honda Accord HeadlightThe 2021 Honda Accord gave drivers two impressive options for their engine selection. The base gave us the turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, which was capable of boasting 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. It also gave drivers an eco-friendly option with the 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid engine, which was able to produce 143 horsepower; but with some help from the AC Synchronous Permanent-Magnet Electric Motor, was able to generate 212 total system horsepower.

While both options gave the 2021 Accord an impressive performance, we’re expecting these engines to make a return in 2022 with a possible retooling to boast an even higher output.

In-Cabin Technology

The Accord has always been a fully-loaded sedan in the Honda family with its impressive array of features and technology within its cabin. We’re expecting to see similar features in the 2022 Accord with an intuitive high-resolution touchscreen, a vast assortment of media options, and even connectivity through Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. These features integrate your phone into the screen, so you can use it to access your text messages, apps, contacts, media library, and more!

Honda Sensing® Driver-Assisting Technology

2021 Honda Accord Interior with Couple inside

The Honda Accord offers innovative

driver-assisting technology features that come standard with the base trim. These features work by using exterior-mounted sensors that will measure factors like the vehicle’s lane/road position, its proximity to other vehicles, and even its rate of approach. The sensors will detect a potential issue and provide a warning and braking mitigation to assist you with preventing a collision.

We’re expecting to see the standard features along with some new ones, including:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System™
  • Road Departure Mitigation System
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
  • Traffic Sign Recognition

And more!
